Special Election to Fill Vacancy for House District 48
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced Tuesday, Jan. 17 as the special election date to fill the vacancy for House District 48. The seat was left vacant after Rep. Todd Baxter resigned on Nov. 1.
Candidates for this special election must file applications with the Secretary of State no later than Monday, Dec. 19. The early voting period for this special election will begin on Monday, Jan. 2.
