Thank you, Bo. It’s good to be here with Commissioner Combs...
...Congressman Hall...
...so many of my friends from the Texas legislature and local leaders...
...and especially the men and women of a fine Texas company... Pilgrim’s Pride.

Bo, one of the things that makes this company great is its history...
...because it proves that individuals who dare to dream big...
...who are willing to act on their ideas...
...and who stay true to their values can accomplish amazing things.

Today, a business that started out as a tiny feed store is one of the fastest growing companies in America and helping to feed the world...
...and I might add, feed them the world’s finest chicken.

The opening of this new world headquarters is great news not just for Northeast Texas, but our entire state, because it signals an economy on the rise.
Like Pilgrim’s Pride, there are thousands of employers all across this state who are investing in new facilities, expanding their operations and creating jobs because they know that Texas is a place where the entrepreneurial spirit is rewarded.

We have created more than 230,000 net new jobs since July 2003...
...our business climate is ranked the best in America...
...and employment in Texas is at an all-time high.

Every job that the private sector creates not only puts money in workers’ pockets...
...but more money flowing through the entire economy as paychecks are cashed and spent.

We have made job creation a priority because jobs are the bricks that pave the path to prosperity.

And they generate something far greater than paychecks for workers or revenue for government priorities...
...and that is the hope for a better tomorrow for Texas families.

Bo, I want to thank you for your commitment to our state and our people...
...and for all you have done to help build a better Texas...
...one job at a time.

We are proud to continue have Pilgrim’s Pride as a neighbor here in Pittsburg...
...and congratulations on this historic day.

Thank you all, and may God bless you.
